Jan comes to GIS-pax after an extensive international exploration career with OMV having worked as both a Petroleum Systems Analyst on international opportunities out of Austria and New Zealand and more recently as a commercial expert working in the Low Carbon Business team for OMV in Vienna.

Paul has worked for over 25 years in international exploration and appraisal roles with large companies such as BP, Woodside, StatOil and Maersk. Paul has developed specialist play analysis skills and has worked across a wide range of projects from basin screening through to prospect maturation and drilling.

Ian has worked 30 years internationally as a Petroleum Geologist. He has held executive positions at Oil Search and Woodside and his international career includes senior positions with Shell and Lasmo. Ian is an Exploration Specialist with proven play analysis experience across many basins worldwide.

Alan is a Chartered Accountant with twenty years in public accounting practice. For the past fifteen years he has provided corporate advisory and company secretarial services to privately held and public listed companies. Alan has been CFO and Company Secretary to GIS-pax for the past 3 years and became a Director in 2016.

Tom has been an E&P and GIS software developer for 38 years and has worked at international E&P companies such as Woodside and at Esri, the industry leading GIS software company based in the USA. Tom is well respected as a GIS architect in the global petroleum community and is currently an advisor to GIS-pax.

Peter has had a career of over 25 years exclusively with PETRONAS in both international and domestic Malaysian exploration roles. Beginning his career as a specialist petroleum geochemist Peter expanded his role progressively into basin and petroleum systems modelling and play analysis. Peter spent several years in the Petronas Technical Assurance team devoting much of his time to the technical development of staff.  Peter will be based in Kuala Lumpur as a consulting geologist with GIS-pax.

Ken has 30 years of industry experience with ExxonMobil, working in roles including regional integration, resource assessment, GIS implementation, training, and creating assessment workflows and toolkits. Ken’s assessment expertise spans regional to prospect scales and includes both conventional and unconventional resources. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 papers and abstracts.

Ben has been developing software for more than 20 years working in Australia, USA, and Europe. He started in GIS at Esri Australia with Tom, Wayne and Chris. Broadening his experience, he led development teams on large transit projects at ERG, and then solely wrote finance software for stock brokers. Ben’s broad experience in software development gives him a unique perspective for problem solving and helping our customers with difficult and challenging issues.

Ryan has been a GIS consultant to a variety of international operations throughout South-East Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, and Australia. He was a delegate of Shell’s Technical Advisory Panel (GISTAP) for global strategic planning and his industry experience includes work with Woodside, PDO, Sakhalin Energy, Brunei Shell and Maersk in Norway.

Mike has been building software for more than 10 years, specializing in the Microsoft stack. He has built business platforms for enterprise clients and introduced microservices architectures.Mike has provided technical leadership across teams and has engineered high-performance algorithms, designing and refining complex scheduling, allocation, and constraint-based algorithms to deliver performance gains at scale.

Wayne has over 20 years of experience with GIS both as a developer and an end user. At Woodside, Wayne was the Exploration Support team manager responsible for support of the corporate application portfolio. At Esri, Wayne worked on design, test and documentation for numerous releases of ArcGIS Desktop.

Dave has more than 15 years’ experience in GIS E&P roles. This includes responsibility for providing support to Geoscience teams in Team Lead and GIS manager positions. Dave has worked for Mubadala Petroleum and several oil and gas service companies in the UK, UAE and Singapore.

Bruce has more than 25 years of experience working in Oil and Gas with roles ranging from Geospatial Analyst to Geospatial Team lead for Exploration Geoscience with Woodside and Shell International EP. Bruce has developed specialist geospatial analysis and support skills working across a wide range of geospatial roles.

Cameron is a corporate finance professional with experience in commercial credit analysis, asset valuation, business development and risk management. Cameron’s career has included roles as a senior commercial analyst for one of Australia’s largest banks, as well as market executive for an international advisory firm and corporate development manager for an ASX listed junior exploration company.

Fiona has over 20 years of industry experience with Woodside, working in roles including the implementation of databases and software for spatial and non-spatial exploration data, implementation of exploration portfolio management systems and software, risk and governance management, and external and internal stakeholder management of international deep-water multi-well exploration drilling projects.

Kelly spent 13 years in Europe as a professional basketball athlete and competed in two Olympics representing Canada. The past 16 years she has worked in Geoscience technical sales and marketing. She managed sales for an EM start up and multi-client seismic data companies where she was responsible for the Americas, Norway, Africa and SE Asia. With PGS she led a global rebranding and marketing campaign for multi-client and coordinated events and brand strategy. Kelly has worked with GIS-pax on the global sales and marketing team for the last 12 years.
